About
I serve those who are longing for more meaning in their lives. Maybe you are considering a career transition, further studies or a social impact project. Often, underneath these desires is a longing to find deeper anchoring in your true purpose—a yearning to reconnect with your true self and the gifts that reside in your depths. If these words resonate with you, then Purpose Discovery work might be for you.
Purpose Guiding orients us towards the unique calling within us. While therapy asks, “How do I heal and become happier?” and helps us heal at the level of personality, purpose-work plunges us into that deeper place from where we can listen to the answer to the question, “What am I called to do in this lifetime?” Based on a framework that has been used by hundreds of people around the world, purpose-work is about discovering and embodying this deeper calling, from under the spell of our default purposes of outward success, comfort and approval.
I came to this work after spending ten years on a largely solitary purpose-seeking journey that helped me realize how life-affirming it is to know one’s purpose and just how much resilience it gives. And yet, I personally experienced that there is very little support for people to discover who they are. As a certified Purpose Guide™, I now find deep joy in guiding career-transitioners, spiritual seekers and change-makers to live their most authentic lives. I graduated from Harvard with an Ed.M in Human Development & Psychology and have trained in purpose-work from the Purpose Guides Institute, CA and Viktor Frankl Institute of Logotherapy, TX. Formerly an architect, I also hold a PG Diploma in Counselling and Guidance and other certifications in guidance-work. I also serve young people in high-school and college by guiding them through workshops to connect with their purpose.
About the Purpose Discovery process:
The Purpose Discovery process usually takes place over 6 months. We can meet 1-1 or in a group, twice every month to go over the 12 modules. You will be engaging in a program formulated by the Purpose Guides Institute that encompasses purpose-discovery tools and technologies used by hundreds of people around the world to find their purpose, tools that are drawn from depth psychology and rooted in ancient wisdom. Some of my teachers have included Joanna Macy, Adyashanti, Parker J. Palmer and Michael Meade, in addition to my training at Harvard and the Viktor Frankl Institute.
People find that being on this journey alongside an intimate community is a powerful experience because there is a magnetizing power in being among a group of reflective and empathetic people. If you opt for the group program, we will engage in the process alongside 4-5 other people. This journey over 6 months will help you cultivate stillness in your life, engage in soul-encounter technologies that help you establish direct communication with your depths, and engage in an ancient nature-based practice to reconnect with your true self. The program culminates in purpose statements and a plan that you can use as an anchor to embody your purpose out in the world. See more information here: www.bit.ly/purpose-program
