About
Ms. Ayesha Hakeem is an Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist who works with adolescents and adults (12 years and above).
She provides a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace. Her work is grounded in Humanistic and Person-Centred principles and informed by an integrative, process-oriented approach. Rather than relying on a single therapeutic model, she draws from a range of evidence-based approaches depending on each client's needs and goals.
Ayesha works with individuals experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and related emotional challenges. Her approach focuses not only on symptom relief, but also on understanding the patterns that contribute to distress and supporting meaningful, sustainable change.
In addition to her clinical practice, she is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Counselling and Psychotherapy (DCP) from Yorkville University. She also supervises trainee psychologists and remains committed to ongoing professional development, reflective practice, and culturally responsive care.
