About

Arshia Rajshekhar is a RCI licensed Clinical Psychologist who has completed her MSc in Clinical Psychology from Christ University, Bangalore and her MPhil in Clinical Psychology from School of Allied Health Sciences, KMC Manipal.

She has trained in the field of mental health for over 2 years and is fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. She takes a keen interest in dealing with clients from all clinical and non-clinical populations and cultural backgrounds. Her interests lie in the psychotherapeutic treatment of mood disorders including Depression, Anxiety and related disorders such as Phobias, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Substance use disorders, Trauma and related disorders, Personality disorders, Dissociative disorders, Eating Disorders and Childhood disorders. She is extensively trained in the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Behavioural Therapies as well as other Third wave therapies (MBCT, MCT, DBT, ACT, SFT).

Her areas of research interest have led her to extensively study trauma and dissociative experiences among various populations and she strives to update her knowledge and competence in the field through research and use of evidence based treatment modules.

The foundation of her treatment is based on a holistic biopsychosocial approach, specifically one that is focused on fitting the treatment plan to accommodate the special needs of the client. Therapeutic alliance and rapport building along with empathetic listening are the very basis for successful engagement in therapy and its success to alleviate the mental well being of the individual.

She aims to fill the void in mental health treatment and it's outreach with the belief that therapy is not to be stigmatised but rather, to be used as a resource available to all to help improve one's emotional wellbeing.
